Exit 185 originated out of Marshalltown, Iowa. The band was formed in 2011 as a four-piece rock band. Over the years, the band has transformed into a five-piece band with several different musical genres to choose from, including; Pop, Rock, 80's, Country, and Blues.

The band has been actively playing live shows in and around the Central and Eastern parts of Iowa. 2020 was a big year for the band and led to some of their biggest shows to date! They were able to perform events like Zoo Brew, Music in The Junction, Principal Charity Golf Classic, as well as Ankeny SummerFest. Exit 185 has been fortunate enough to also win the Bondurant Battle of the Bands three times, in Bondurant, Iowa. 2023 was the busiest the band has been since the pandemic! They performed at multiple town festivals including Dunkerton Days, Live After Five, Bee Ridiculous Day, and Gilman No River Days. They also performed at a variety of private parties and local iconic venues that include; Wayward Social, Dave & Sally's, Fireside Winery, and Laurel's Pourhouse. Exit 185 topped off their 2023 Summer Tour at one of the largest Craft Brew parties in Iowa, hosted by the Millstream Brewery in historic Amana Colonies.

Exit 185 is a band that consists of musicians who are always focused on having fun and engaging with the crowd. Their goal is to ensure that everyone who attends their shows will have a great time whenever and wherever they are performing!
